Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

Please note: This policy is a starting template. It has not yet been reviewed by legal counsel and should be reviewed and adapted by a qualified attorney before the Postpartum Therapy Project relies on it.

The Postpartum Therapy Project (“PTP,” “we,” “us”) is committed to protecting the privacy of everyone who interacts with us — including donors, the providers who refer mothers to our program, and the mothers we serve. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it.

1. Information We Collect

Donor information. When you make a donation, we collect your name, contact details, and the donation amount. Payment card details are processed by our third-party payment processor and are not stored on our systems.

Referral information. When a provider refers a mother to our program, we collect the provider’s professional contact details and information about the mother being referred. This may include health-adjacent information (such as the reason for referral) that the provider chooses to submit so we can determine eligibility and provide care.

Website information. We collect basic, aggregated analytics about how our site is used (such as pages viewed) to improve the experience. We do not use this to identify individuals.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect only to operate our program: to process and acknowledge donations, to evaluate referrals and match mothers with therapy, to communicate with you, and to comply with our legal and accounting obligations. We do not use referral information for marketing.

3. Sensitive and Health-Adjacent Information

We understand that referral information can be deeply personal. We treat it with care, limit access to staff and partners who need it to deliver services, and retain it only as long as necessary to provide care and meet our obligations. We are not a healthcare provider and this site is not a substitute for medical advice.

4. How We Share Information

We share information only with the therapy providers and service partners who deliver care, and with vendors (such as payment and email providers) who help us operate, under confidentiality obligations. We may disclose information if required by law.

5. We Do Not Sell Your Data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone, ever.

6. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the information we hold. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to limit access and protect sensitive data.

7. Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described here or as required by law, and then dispose of it securely.

8. Your Choices and Rights

You may ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you. Contact us at the address below and we will respond as required by applicable law.

9. Children’s Privacy

Our services are directed to adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children through this website.

10. Changes & Contact

We may update this policy from time to time and will revise the date above when we do. If you have questions about this policy or your information, email us at hello@postpartumtherapyproject.com.
