Make a gift
Fund one mother's year.
Change her whole story.
The large majority of every dollar you give — 85% — goes directly to therapy for a postpartum mother who couldn't access care without you. Overhead kept deliberately lean. Just a mom getting the support she deserves.
Financial transparency
We believe you should know exactly where your gift goes.
The Therapy Access Fund is designed to keep overhead lean and therapy access high. The large majority of what you give goes straight to a mother's care — not marketing, not gala events, not executive salaries. Want the details? See how funded therapy works.

I didn't know postpartum anxiety had a name. I just knew I was drowning. Getting connected with a therapist changed everything — for the first time since giving birth, I felt like someone was in my corner.

Who your gift funds
Briana Sampson, LMFT, PMH-C
Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist — Texas (LMFT #204978) and California (LMFT #108056) · Certified in Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C)
Briana founded the Postpartum Therapy Project, sets the clinical standards every funded therapist is vetted against, and reviews the guidance published on this site. Your gift is administered by a licensed perinatal specialist, not a fundraising office.
Before you give
Questions donors ask.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
Yes. The Postpartum Therapy Project operates under the fiscal sponsorship of Women’s Nonprofit Alliance, a registered 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, so your gift is tax-deductible today. You will receive a receipt for your records when your donation is processed.
Why does my bank statement say Women’s Nonprofit Alliance?
Because donations are processed through our fiscal sponsor. Women’s Nonprofit Alliance is the 501(c)(3) parent organization that holds our tax-exempt status. Funds are credited directly to the Postpartum Therapy Project — the alliance does not retain any portion of your gift.
Where does my money actually go?
Eighty-five percent goes directly to therapy sessions. Ten percent covers intake coordination, therapist vetting, community education sessions and referral partnerships. Five percent covers legal, accounting and donor communications. These are allocation targets for our first operating year; actual figures will be published in our annual report.
How much does it cost to fund one mother’s year of therapy?
Five thousand dollars funds one mother’s complete year — 26 bi-weekly sessions with a vetted, trauma-informed perinatal specialist, at no cost to her. That works out to roughly $192 per session. Smaller gifts are pooled to fund sessions for mothers already enrolled.
Who receives the therapy you fund?
Mothers within the first twelve months postpartum who live in Texas and have demonstrated financial need. No diagnosis and no insurance are required to apply. Every funded mother is matched with a therapist holding Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C).
